Today we thought of making peacock drawing easy for you. So we came up with four peacock drawing tutorials in this drawing lesson. First, if you are looking for the easiest peacock drawing, we have a tutorial on peacock cartoon drawing. Then there are pencil sketches of peacocks, simple peacock drawings, and beautiful peacock drawings. Peacocks look very bright in colors, but that is because of the reflection.
Tips for Peacock Drawing
Here are some tips for drawing a peacock easily:
Often use dotted lines or a cross in the center of the page
If you are a beginner, start with fewer details
Once you gain experience, then go to advanced 3d drawings
Art Supplies
We used the following art supplies in these tutorials:
Start drawing the neck and head of the peacock. Draw a curvy neck with two parallel lines and on top of it, draw the head in the shape of a bend and pointy beak. Next, draw small vertical lines and point at the end on top of the head to represent the crest of feathers—figure 1.
Step 2:
Extend the right neckline towards the right and then make a sharp bend towards the left. Extend that bend and make a curve at the end pointing upward—Figure 2.
Step 3:
In this step, we will draw the peacock’s train (tail feathers). Do this by drawing a straight line rightward, starting from the back of the body. Then make a bend and extend in leftward, again make a bend and extend it upward. Then draw a curve on the right side to draw the front and join it below the train’s line. Finally, draw two small lines to represent the origin of legs—Figure 3.
Step 4:
Start a line below the feet, take it behind the tail, and draw two branches and leaves—Figure 4.
Step 5:
From the origin of legs, draw tight parallel lines in the shape of legs. Make bends at the end of each leg in the shape of claws that are holding a branch. Then extend the line representing the branch rightward and join it under the train. Next, draw a stem on the right side above the train and divide it into two branches with leaves on them. Finally, draw small oval-shaped eyespots in the peacock’s train and fill them, leaving a little transparent part (Figure 5.
Step 6:
Draw another parallel line below the branch line—Figure 6.
In this step, draw a long thin eye on the head parallel to the beak. Now it’s time to put shades in the drawing, do this by darkening the peacock with a little pressure on the pencil (Figure 7.
Step 8:
In the final step, apply shades in the branch and the leaves (Figure 8.
There you have a beautiful peacock sitting on a tree branch.
Peacock Cartoon Drawing Tutorial Step By Step
Step 1:
Start with drawing a sharp bend to represent the head with a pointy beak. Next, draw an oval shape eye with a dot inside and extend parallel lines downwards from that bend. These parallel lines represent a thin neck. Next, below the neck, draw a pitcher-shaped body. Then draw an oval shape around the peacock’s belly. Next, draw four parallel lines vertically below the body to represent the legs and draw three sharp bends in the shape of claws. Finally, draw three long, irregular shapes to represent the crest on the head—Figure 1.
Step 2:
Draw the train or tail of the peacock emerging from behind. Do it by drawing several feathers in the same long shape and size, joining and circulating the back—Figure 2.
Step 3:
Moving to the left side, repeat step 2 and draw feathers until you have a complete peacock train—Figure 3.
Step 4:
After drawing the tailor train, draw oval-shaped eyespots in each feather near the end. Draw circles inside each oval shape—Figure 4.
Step 5:
Now, it is time to fill in the colors. Use blue color in the head, neck, and belly and yellow color in the beak, crest, and legs. Then use green color in the circles inside eyespots on each feather—Figure 5.
Step 6:
Use red color in the oval shape around the belly. Finally, fill in the feathers with green color—Figure 6.
There you have an easy cartoon peacock drawing.
Pencil Peacock Drawing Tutorial Step by Step
Step 1:
Start by drawing the complete peacock’s body except for legs and a beak on the heads—Figure 1.
Step 2:
After drawing the body, draw a dot on the head to represent one eye and crest on the top of the head. Draw three spiral shapes in the tail and draw a wing inside the belly under the neck (Figure 2.
Step 3:
Draw draw legs below the body. Do it by drawing three parallel lines vertically and the claw at the end below—Figure 3.
Step 4:
In the last step, highlight the outline of the peacock with a pointer—Figure 4.
There you have a simple peacock drawing.
Peacock Sketch Tutorial Step by Step
Step 1:
Start drawing with two peacocks’ heads and bodies but not legs. One peacock should be facing towards you from a left posture, and the other peacock should be on the right side and looking behind. Draw crest, eyes, beaks, and the wings of both peacocks—Figure 1.
Step 2:
After drawing the bodies of the peacocks, draw many oval shapes with small distances below the peacock bodies. Draw spirals inside the oval shapes. These oval shapes will represent the eyespots on the tails—Figure 2.
Step 3:
Draw many overlapping lines between and around the eyespots that we drew in step 2—Figure 3.
Step 4:
Draw scale on the bodies of both peacocks—Figure 4.
Step 5:
Draw a branch with two parallel lines on the right side where both peacocks are sitting—Figure 5.
Step 6:
Start drawing one branch with two parallel lines on the left side and divide it into two branches afterward. Next, draw small leaves on one branch—Figure 6.
Step 7:
Next up, blend the oval eyespots on the tail—Figure 7.
Step 8:
Next, blend the tails entirely—Figure 8.
Step 9:
In the final step, blend the branches and leaves—Figure 9.
There you have a drawing of two beautiful peacocks sitting side by side.
