How to draw a daffodil in 5 simple steps
By following these simple steps, we can quickly sketch a daffodil. Follow me for a simple daffodil drawing.
Step 1:
Let’s begin your daffodil drawing. The daffodil flower is complex and intricate when you start drawing it. We will begin our drawing by sketching two curved lines with a diagonal angle to form an incomplete bell shape. Now we will connect the line with a few wavy circular shapes. We will draw another wavy circular shape within the previously drawn wavy shape. Then we will add a few lines over it to show petals folds.
Step 2:
Using two curved lines, we will sketch a teardrop shape for each petal in the next step. These lines meet at a sharp point. Following the same procedure, we will again draw a few more petals surrounding the flower’s bell-shaped petal.
Step 3:
In this 3rd step, we will draw the stem of the flower. The flower branch is a vital organ that can provide all the essential minerals to plants to keep them healthy. In the third step, we draw the stem by drawing a straight line that will be a little bold at the base of the flower, but it becomes thin as it moves down the earth. Our cute daffodil flower is almost ready but needs some addition.
Step 4:
The daffodil flower has sword-like long leaves. The flower looks barren without the leaves. So, draw the long sword-like, slender leaves on the flower stalk or stem. The flower leaves are thin and long. We will draw leaves by using curved lines and connecting them at sharp edges to make them look perfect.
Step 5:
It’s time to color our daffodil drawing. The picture looks natural, with colored yellow, pink, or orange flowers. Add green color to its leaves. I hope that kids will find this drawing captivating and engaging.
